Job description

Title: Sr. Technical Program Manager

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 4.5 months contract

The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At Nike, it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the technical delivery for Nike’s Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) initiative—a critical HR transformation program focused on building an enterprise workforce planning capability informed by data, skills, and AI-driven insights.

This role will operate at the intersection of HR and Technology driving the evolution from reactive workforce planning to dynamic, capability-based planning that enables faster and more confident decisions at scale.

The ideal candidate is a strategic operator and program leader who thrives in ambiguity, can orchestrate large cross-functional programs, and is comfortable navigating organizational change, new operating rhythms, and emerging AI-enabled technology capabilities.

You will play a critical role in helping Nike design, build, and scale a repeatable SWP practice, partnering with Workforce Planning, Business HR (BHR), Organizational Development (OD), Talent Management, and Technology teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will lead end-to-end technical program execution for SWP, focusing on delivering the technology platform across three workstreams.

  • Lead technical delivery of the SWP program across three workstreams, including Organizational Health, AI-Enabled Workforce Intelligence, Workforce Blueprint.
  • Own technology program governance, timelines, and cross-workstream alignment.
  • Coordinate technology dependencies ensuring alignment to business goals, tradeoffs, and delivery sequencing.
  • Enable collaboration across a team of workstream leads, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Facilitate program level processes and execution, identify and manage dependencies and risks, as well as escalate impediments.
  • Maintain program dashboards, KPIs, and success metrics aligned to SWP outcomes.
  • Ensure integration of key data domains (skills, tasks, workforce metrics, financials) into program deliverables and decision frameworks.
  • Support rollout of new processes, tools, and ways of working with a focus on iterative delivery.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will work across a highly matrixed set of teams, including:

  • Strategic Workforce Planning leadership and workstream leads.
  • HR Technology and data/platform teams.
  • Business HR (BHR) and Organizational Development.
  • Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and L&D.
  • Enterprise and external solution partners.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree (preferred) or relevant combination of education, experience, and training.
  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience; self-motivated, with a high sense of accountability, urgency, and drive.
  • Experience with HR Technology Platforms (Workday) and familiarity with HR processes, in particular in the Talent Management and Strategic Workforce Planning domains.
  • Demonstrated organization skills leading projects from conception through implementation.
  • Outstanding collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to clearly connect with business stakeholders, and Technology teams.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated proficiency with technical programs/projects.
  • Proven knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies including SAFe, Kanban, and Scrum, as well as traditional waterfall methodologies.
