Job ID: 10597303 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
You’ll join a diverse team of technical program managers, design engineers, construction managers, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
We're seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to own infrastructure delivery for the network and logical scope of our ML/AI data center builds. This is an infrastructure role with a heavy network focus.
You'll assist and advise across multiple locations at once, and serve as the subject matter expert on the network and logical side of the process so infrastructure deliveries account for it. You'll own the physical foundation network capacity lands on: space, power, rack positioning, and deployment readiness. You'll work closely with the Network TPMs and engineering teams who own network design and delivery, making sure their plans can actually land, on time and to spec.
To do that well, you'll need more network fluency than a typical infrastructure PM. That means understanding topology, scaling, and rack requirements well enough to turn network intent into infrastructure plans and to question assumptions in both directions. You don't need to own the network yourself. When five teams are pointing at each other, you find where the chain is broken and get the program moving again. When a declared blocker doesn't hold up, you test it and push back with data. When an issue shows up at one site, you assume it's coming at others, get ahead of it, and write it down so the next build doesn't hit the same wall.
The successful candidate is a strong written and verbal communicator who adjusts the depth and framing of an answer to who's asking and why. They aren't slowed down by ambiguity or competing priorities, and they're comfortable working across many builds at different phases at the same time.
