Sr. Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, Infra Capacity Delivery

We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We’re seeking an experienced Infrastructure Technical Program Manager in Herndon, VA to oversee data center build projects in Northern Virginia. You will lead cross‑functional and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment. You will use judgment, negotiation skills, influence without authority, analytical talent, technical aptitude, and leadership to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, eliminate non‑value‑add activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery.

The candidate must be comfortable managing remote project delivery teams and facilitating technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot implementation issues and remove barriers to project success. Strong communication, both written and verbal, is required. Experience in tactical project management of highly technical initiatives and strategic program management is essential. Demonstrated experience with scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risk management, reporting, and metric development/tracking is expected. Experience with MS Project, Asana, Tableau, and systems integration is a plus.

The role requires working through ambiguity and competing priorities while understanding mechanical/electrical engineering concepts. Experience managing data center infrastructure deployments is a plus. Candidates with backgrounds in architecture/design, mechanical/electrical engineering, software/hardware engineering, data center infrastructure/operations, or construction who have transitioned to program management will have a distinct advantage.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience
• 5+ years of data center or network capacity planning, data center or network infrastructure program/project management, or related technical experience
• Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (e.g., network, data center, hardware, software)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related technical field

The base salary range for this position is 148,700.00 - 201,200.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined by factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
