HOLT CAT is hiring for an experienced Sr Technical Communicator - Electric Power for our Power Systems Division. The Sr TC will provide technical assistance and support to sales, service, and parts departments, act as liaison to HOLT CAT and Caterpillar, and deliver technical leadership on specialized systems. This role supports all departments and locations with technical questions, product problems, and failure analysis. Preferred knowledge and experience on Caterpillar Electric Power Generation products is highly preferred.

Essential Functions
- Evaluate and analyze product problems to support Parts, Service and Sales business objectives.
- Research product issues using CAT tools, PSCRM database, and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues.
- Communicate accurate solutions in a timely manner.
- Advise and report all pertinent technical data to key departmental management to ensure customer satisfaction and alignment with company core values.
- Maintain and manage the technical services tooling and library to support key service functions.
- Serve as the liaison between the company and Caterpillar to ensure that technical service operations meet ongoing operational requirements and maintain standards for all products, minimizing expenses.
- Share and take ownership of responsibilities with other team members, acting to ensure continued stability and growth of the team.
- Assist all departments at all locations with technical problems and solutions to minimize company expense.
- Assist with technical or operational issues needed to keep Caterpillar products marketable.
- Serve as a mentor to Technical Communicators and Technical Service Technicians while maintaining required certification by Caterpillar.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of and ability to explain safety practices, mechanical repair, service procedures, and techniques.
- Knowledge of CAT models/machines, safe operation procedures, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Intermediate level skills with Excel, Word, and other computer software.
- General mathematical skills including basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Advanced skills in repairing hydraulic controls and electrical systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand technical manuals, software specifications, hardware principles of operation, and systems software operations.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
Three or more years of related experience preferred.
