Job summary

Advance Programs in Salem, NH is seeking a Sr. Technical Assembler to assemble machines and subassemblies from blueprints and specifications, and to be the focal point for repairing products returned by customers.

You will diagnose hardware and software issues, test products, and follow procedures including ESD and MRD, using hand and power tools as required to ensure high-quality builds. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and practical electronics manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software product issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Follows documented procedures so assemble and test company products to ensure that each product build is to the highest of quality standards.
• Adheres to SIO procedures and processes including ESD, MRD process and others required.
• Uses hand tools and power tools in assembly process as required by the product specifications.
• Follows approved test procedures to determine testing method and equipment to be used for functional testing of units assembled.
• Perform disassembly of OEM product
• Package completed product to ready for shipping.
• Repairs customer service equipment by performing the following: Reviews service request to determine the reason the unit is malfunctioning.
• Identifies the parts and equipment needed for the repair and acquires material
• Keep clear, concise and accurate records of each repair including information such as product serial numbers, parts replaced, reported reason for product failure and actualcause for product failure. Funnels this information to the Customer Service Lead who enters it into the company RMA database.

SUMMARY

Assembles machines, equipment, and their subassemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications by performing the following duties as well as the focal point for repairing product returned by Customers.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
