About The Role

As a Sr. Taxonomy Specialist, you will lead and guide our product-wide taxonomy, working across teams to align and build consensus, and establish governance frameworks.

In this role, you'll collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, tech writers, customer support, data specialists, and learning management, to establish best practices, decision frameworks, and tooling for taxonomy.

This position is part of our product design organization but interfaces with multiple departments.

About CrowdStrike Design

Design at CrowdStrike is a partner with product management and engineering, owning the user experience from conception to rollout. We seek full-stack designers and managers who lead through the entire process, driving innovation and craftsmanship within the team.

What You'll Do

  • Lead large-scale taxonomy projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Represent the "voice of taxonomy" in product and engineering projects, fostering alignment
  • Develop roadmaps for taxonomy and tagging initiatives with engineering and product teams
  • Establish governance, processes, and decision frameworks for data and UI taxonomy standards
  • Champion and manage change for product-wide taxonomy adoption
  • Advocate for shared taxonomies and metadata models across the organization
  • Engage with customers to understand their experiences regarding taxonomy, tagging, and labeling

What You'll Need

  • Expertise in cybersecurity language and terminology
  • Experience with large-scale taxonomies and metadata in enterprise software
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications in taxonomy development
  • Understanding of content management systems and information architecture
  • Familiarity with multilingual taxonomy and localization processes

The salary range for this U.S. position is $110,000 - $180,000 annually, plus incentives, equity, and benefits, determined by experience, skills, and location.
