Job summary

Solidigm in San Jose, CA is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to partner with the Tax Director on domestic and international income tax matters. You will work with the Tax Team, coordinate with external auditors, and drive tax planning and compliance in a fast-paced multinational environment.

The role requires a strong technical tax background, attention to detail, and project management skills. CPA preferred but not required; 10+ years of experience in tax is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field required.
  • CPA preferred, but not required.
  • 10+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally including time at a Big 4 firm and in-house industry experience.
  • High-tech industry experience in California required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly income tax provisions, tax account reconciliations, income tax disclosures, tax memos, and support monthly close.
  • Prepare income tax forecasts to support planning and cash tax projections.
  • Prepare US federal and state tax returns and supporting workpapers.
  • Manage international tax compliance and transfer pricing, including withholding tax and Pillar Two compliance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Treasury—at all levels.
  • Serve as a responsive, trusted tax resource for internal partners.
  • Support international tax expansion, coordinating with external advisors.
  • Lead or contribute to ad hoc tax projects as priorities arise.
  • Maintain compliance with SOX requirements across all areas.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline tax calculations.

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Tax Manager to partner with the Tax Director on domestic and international income tax matters. You'll work closely with the Tax Team, collaborate across finance and business functions, and coordinate with external auditors and advisors on complex tax issues. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical tax background, excellent attention to detail and project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multinational environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly income tax provisions, tax account reconciliations, income tax disclosures, tax memos, and support the monthly close process.
  • Prepare income tax forecasts to support planning and cash tax projections.

  • Strong tax research skills, with the ability to analyze and clearly communicate conclusions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax audiences.
