Job summary

Venteon is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst for a global automotive manufacturing company in the Auburn Hills, MI area. You will lead key aspects of global tax accounting and financial reporting, including quarterly and annual income tax provisions, tax forecasting, budgeting, and disclosures.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical tax accounting background with multinational experience, CPA designation, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Active CPA designation required.
• 4+ years of public accounting experience with significant income tax accounting.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 or IAS 12.
• Experience with income tax accounting for multinational organizations.
• Advanced Excel skills; OneSource Tax Provision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quarterly and annual global income tax provision process, including tax calculations, journal entries, workpapers, and disclosures.
• Manage global tax forecasting, annual budgeting, long-range planning, and effective tax rate analysis.
• Review international tax reporting packages, return-to-provision adjustments, deferred tax calculations, uncertain tax positions, and valuation allowance analyses.
• Partner with international finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and support audit requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements, standardization, and automation opportunities across global tax accounting and reporting.
