THE ROLE

Under the direction of the Tax Compliance Director, responsibilities include preparing corporate and partnership federal tax returns, calculating quarterly estimated payments, responding to notices, and assisting with the preparation of the US quarterly and annual income tax provision (ASC 740).

Duties also include assisting the Tax Compliance Director and other Tax Managers with corporate and partnership tax research, planning, and calculating tax depreciation and amortization.

What This Role Will Do

  • Prepare federal, state, and local partnership income tax returns
  • Prepare federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns
  • Prepare tax depreciation and amortization calculations for reporting purposes
  • Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated tax payments and extensions
  • Maintain detailed, audit-ready workpapers to support compliance and reporting
  • Prepare and e-file tax returns and extensions
  • Prepare and perform detailed review of income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 and reconcile U.S. deferred tax accounts
  • Communicate with team members and other departments on tax related matters
  • Assist in IDR requests for IRS corporate and partnership audits
  • Complete assigned projects under various deadlines

What This Person Will Bring

  • 3 to 5 years public accounting and/or corporate tax experience, or in the tax function of a publicly traded multinational corporation, with knowledge of US corporate consolidated and partnership rules
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred
  • Emphasis on strong systems skills, including Excel, Word, Oracle
  • Proficient in Corptax
  • Proficient in Fixed Asset software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive team player while also being able to work independently
