Job summary

Assurit is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer / Integrator to support one of our clients. This role requires coordinating the development of programs to increase information sharing and technical integration across organizations.

Candidates with a background in data science, cloud technologies (preferably AWS), big data (Hadoop and Spark), and system integration are highly sought after for this position.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Master’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in data science, systems engineering, or systems integration for complex programs.
• Proficient in AWS cloud environments and cloud-native architectures.
• One or more cloud certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Big Data-Specialty, CCSP, or CCP.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Apache Kafka.

Assurit is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Systems Engineer / Integrator to support one of our clients.

About The Role

Assurit is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer / Integrator to serve as a liaison coordinating the development of programs aimed at increasing information sharing and technical integration efforts. This role requires the ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of technical and analytical requirements and facilitate communication, coordination, and integration of IT initiatives across organizations.

Candidates with a background in data science, cloud technologies (preferably AWS), big data technologies (Hadoop and Spark), and system integration are highly sought after for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical liaison activities to facilitate communication and collaboration on various initiatives
• Oversee the integration of technical systems, ensuring alignment with technical requirements, including familiarity with unclassified and secret systems
• Utilize metrics tools, analytics platforms, and AI technologies, with experience in large-scale IT systems and understanding of end-user use cases
• Design and manage system architectures that meet mission-critical needs while integrating robust cybersecurity principles
• Provide expertise in cloud environments, preferably AWS, ensuring effective integration and management of systems
• Lead initiatives focused on big data technologies, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency
• Work closely with technical and management teams to meet objectives and resolve challenges
• Develop technical reports and documentation related to system integration and management

Required Qualifications

• Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance
• Master’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience
• Strong experience in data science, systems engineering, or systems integration, with a proven ability to handle complex technical projects
• Proficient in cloud environments, particularly AWS
• Must possess one or more of the following cloud certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Big Data-Specialty, Cloudera Certified Professional, or CCSP
• Practical experience managing big data solutions, particularly in high-volume analytics and data processing environments
• Familiarity with specific tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Apache Kafka
• Expertise in metrics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau), analytics platforms (e.g., SAS, Power BI), and AI tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) within classified and unclassified systems

Preferred Qualifications
