Job summary

amtechnologies is seeking two engineers for an on-site role in Sterling, VA. Candidates must hold Active TS/SCI with CI Poly and Security+ CE, with extensive experience in Linux and Citrix CVAD administration in cloud environments.

A minimum of 10 years of related experience and a STEM degree are required. Role includes designing, deploying, and maintaining CVAD infrastructure, PVS/MCS, FSLogix, and associated Citrix components, while coordinating with internal teams and customers to deliver

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and implement CVAD infrastructure in a 100% Cloud environment.
• Deploy and configure Citrix Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, NetScaler/ADC, and supporting components.
• Implement PVS or MCS for desktop image management.
• Manage and maintain Citrix infrastructure including VDAs, hypervisors, and storage systems.
• Optimize VDI performance through monitoring, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
• Configure and manage user profiles using FSLogix.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the VDI stack.
• Provide platform and infra technical services and expertise across systems and tools.
• Complete design, configuration and deployment of platform infra and apps in cloud environments.
• Maintain COTS applications in cloud environments.

Job description

Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly required. On-site position. Must have Sec+ or better. Two (2) engineers needed.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :

• We are actively seeking candidates with a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field is required.
• Possess a minimum of Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly (FS Poly works too)
• At a minimum, meet DoDD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification)
• Expertise working with Linux platforms and COTS applications in Linux cloud environments
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) infrastructure in a 100% Cloud environment
• Deploy and configure Citrix Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, NetScaler/ADC, and supporting components
• Implement Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) or Machine Creation Services (MCS) for desktop image management
• Manage and maintain Citrix infrastructure including Virtual Delivery Agents (VDAs), hypervisors, and storage systems
• Optimize VDI performance through monitoring, capacity planning, and resource allocation
• Configure and manage user profiles using FSLogix
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the VDI stack
• Provide platform and infrastructure technical services and technical expertise in systems, technical infrastructure, tools, modeling, external interfaces, and other technical areas
• Complete complex design, configuration and deployment of platform infrastructure and applications in a cloud-based environment ensuring performant environments
• Maintain COTS applications in a cloud-based environment
• Work with internal engineering resources as well as customer end-users to design and enhance the user interfaces for supported applications, maintaining responsive designs that accommodate challenging technical and functional requirements
• Support operations functions, including root cause identification, remediation and documentation (e.g., user guides, ‘how to’ guides, infrastructure diagrams)
• Work closely with clients and cross-functional departments on technical issues including software system troubleshooting and maintenance and to communicate project statuses
• Prepare comprehensive test plans, test new features, services, and fix bugs
• Configure IdAM, Active Directory, LDAP resources with platform and applications
• Prepare technical presentations for government and senior leadership
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Work across infrastructure that contains both Linux and Windows
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical, management and customer both written and verbally
• Utilize robust troubleshooting skills
• Instill and apply solid engineering rigor, to include configuration management, testing
• Develop/engineer as part of an Agile scrum team
