Job summary

Job description

As Sr. Systems Architect I, you’ll be driving system architecture decisions, evaluating emerging technologies, and ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise solutions. Ideal candidates bring deep technical expertise, Agile experience, and a passion for innovation in defense IT.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead technical design and architecture for new capabilities, pilot projects, and technology refresh initiatives
  • Provide expert input on system changes, including impact assessments and solution design
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with product owners, developers, and functional leads to refine user stories and define technical solutions
  • Support the development and maintenance of systems engineering and software development plans
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues across ERP configurations, infrastructure, and interfaces
  • Contribute to the implementation of DevSecOps practices and continuous improvement initiatives

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise IT systems architecture, engineering, or sustainment
  • Experience supporting large-scale ERP systems, preferably Oracle EBS
  • Strong understanding of system performance tuning, scalability, and integration
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity standards, STIG compliance, and RMF processes
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL v4 best practices is highly beneficial for success in this role
