Job description

System Administrator

We have an immediate need for a System Administrator to maintain critical IT systems and orchestrate novel and efficient baseline configuration management. Typical duties include health and status monitoring of hardware and software components, automated deployments of baselines, patches, services, and configuration, defect and problem resolution, stakeholder communication, and scheduling system events for inventory of client/server/storage/network/mobile/support devices.

What you will be doing:

The Senior System Administrator is responsible for all operational aspects of the development & test environment(s) contributing to our national defense. He/she will manage all aspects of the IT system(s) including accounts, baselines, compliance, availability, and performance.

Specific tasks include proficiency in Linux commands and navigation, virtualized/containerized hosting designs and implementations (e.g., VMware/ESXi, Docker), automated deployment, baseline configuration tools such as Ansible, Windows/Active Directory, stakeholder presentations, interfacing with ISSO and security policy teams, and executing request/service trouble-ticket systems.

Experience with CI/CD using Gitlab and proficiency with Atlassian Suite (Confluence, JIRA, etc.) is a plus.

What you need:

  • Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SA in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline; four (4) years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Excellent planning and communication skills, with ability to interact professionally with developers, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Familiarity with System Security Assessment processes.
  • Tools expertise: Gitlab, VMWare, Linux (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu), Ansible, Active Directory, Nessus.
  • Knowledge of network security architecture, topology, protocols, and components.
  • Familiarity with BISCOTTI, XACTA, and Latte-Arte requirements.
  • Security design and review experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Ability to identify, gather, and report key performance and compliance metrics.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans.
  • Understanding of enterprise incident response roles and responsibilities.
  • IAT II compliance (Security+, etc.).

Clearance: Active TS/SCI with current polygraph required; ability to receive privileged access rights.

Salary range: $144,251.00 - $271,085.00 (Annual)
