Job summary

AnaVation is seeking a Sr Systems Administrator to join our Reston, VA team supporting mission critical customers. The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph, a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years related experience, and active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II.

Responsibilities include managing VMware environments, Windows and Linux administration, STIGs, scripting, and mentoring junior staff. Strong focus on Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and CM tools such as SCCM/PDQ.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years related experience
• Current active CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent IAT Level II
• Ability to write scripts using PowerShell and/or Bash
• Experience managing VMware, Nutanix, and other enterprise virtual infrastructures
• Proficient in Active Directory and GPO troubleshooting
• Linux OS administration (CentOS, RHEL)
• Satellite server administration
• Ansible playbook writing
• Implementing STIGs
• Experience supporting CI/CD environments

• Ensure proper planning and execution of major projects/maintenance activities.
• Provide advanced level administration and troubleshooting of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and Domain Controllers.

  • Experience managing VMware, Nutanix, and other types of enterprise level Virtual Infrastructures.
  • Proficient in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO).
  • Linux OS (CentOS, RHEL) administration.
  • Satellite server administration.
  • Ansible playbook writing.
  • Implementing STIGs.
  • Experience supporting a software configuration management and development environment.
