Our client has contracted with an government agency and has an immediate requirement for a full - time position in the NoVa office for services:

The SUBCONTRACTOR shall, pursuant to our clients's technical direction, provide Level of Effort (LOE) technical support to the tasks identified below and support and/or complete any deliverables required under this SOW, as identified herein. The Subcontractor Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for providing technical support. The following are the required tasks and experience that are expected for this position; other duties may be required as they are assigned:

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with the design, implementation, management, and administration of Enterprise data center server infrastructure, including servers, load balancing, firewalls, and networking
  • Experience with Windows Server products (Server 2008 and 2012) and virtualization in VMWare and Hyper‑V
  • Experience with commercial cloud architectures (Azure, Amazon AWS).
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and maintaining a Multi‑Tenant Cloud Computing Environment
  • Experience with multiple virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V, VmWare, KVM).
  • Understanding of information security principles in a government environment.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues in a Virtualized Windows Server environment.
  • Strong writing/documentation skills – providing technical documentation and recommendations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team supporting an enterprise virtualization solution.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, stress, detailed work, and deadlines
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong and effective customer service skills
  • Ability to receive a federal public trust clearance
Desired skills
  • Engagement in emerging technologies such as converged and hyper‑converged infrastructure a strong plus
  • Experience with AD and ADFS
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM, SCOM, SharePoint and SQL Server
  • Any experience designing and implementing commercial cloud environments would be considered a plus
  • CCEA or CCA in Citrix Presentation Server or XenApp
Responsibilities
  • Assisting existing support teams in designing, executing, and troubleshooting issues for a large scale data center migration and consolidation, with implementation of modern converged and hyper‑converged data center hosting technology, in support of services for ~10,000 customers at the Department of Housing and Urban Development
  • Providing senior technical support in developing and executing data center solutions, integrating on‑premise data centers to cloud hosted offerings in Azure, O365, and AWS.
  • Developing and documenting designs, configurations, and evolving standard operating procedures
  • Coordinating with AD, Citrix, SharePoint, SAN, and Linux teams on developing solution options for cloud-hosted variants and alternatives to existing services
  • Ensuring the security of the IT systems and tools.
  • Providing Tier III support as required for escalated issues regarding data center and cloud services
