Job summary

AccruePartners is seeking a senior IT Infrastructure professional to own end‑to‑end systems across multiple locations in Charlotte, NC. This onsite role involves managing servers, networks, cloud environments (Azure/AWS), and critical business systems while ensuring uptime, security, and compliance.

You will partner with IT leadership, drive infrastructure upgrades, support disaster recovery, and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration with ownership of servers and networks.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, VMware, and cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
• Experience supporting multi-site environments, remote locations, or field-service operations.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Ability to act as a senior escalation point and contribute to projects and cloud migrations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure across servers, networks, cloud environments, and on‑prem systems.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex technical issues and ensure reliability and security.
• Maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, VMware, and cloud infrastructure.

• Travel to company locations for upgrades, deployments, and onsite issue resolution.
• Support SOC 2 compliance and align IT systems with regulatory requirements.
• Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects and technology rollouts.
• Document configurations, processes, and project status clearly.

What You Will Do

• Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure across servers, networks, cloud environments, mobile devices, and critical business systems
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues while helping ensure system reliability, security, compliance, and performance across multiple company locations
• Oversee and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, VMware, cloud environments, and on‑prem VM infrastructure
• Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and system availability initiatives
• Monitor and optimize network performance, access control, security, and uptime across multiple sites
• Provide Tier 3 support for escalated infrastructure, server, network, and systems‑related issues
• Travel to company locations and field sites to support infrastructure upgrades, equipment setup, assessments, and onsite issue resolution
• Support cybersecurity initiatives including firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, audits, and risk assessments
• Help maintain SOC 2 compliance standards and ensure IT systems align with regulatory/security expectations
• Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects, cloud migrations, technology rollouts, and process improvements
• Maintain documentation around system configurations, procedures, changes, security risks, and project status

The Background That Fits

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration with strong server, network, and infrastructure ownership
• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, VMware, and cloud environments such as Azure or AWS
• Experience supporting multi‑site environments, remote locations, or field‑service‑style operations
• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, security best practices, access control, and infrastructure monitoring
• Experience with backups, disaster recovery planning, vulnerability management, and data security
• Ability to serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues
• Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week in Charlotte, with travel up to 30%
• Strong documentation, communication, and project execution skills
• Certifications such as MCSE, VCP, CCNA, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus
• Experience with SOC 2 Type 2, cybersecurity frameworks, or environmentally focused/field services organizations is a plus
