Ready to solve challenging problems at global scale? Join Amazon's OTS Supply Chain team as a Sr Systems Dev Engineer to help transform our technology infrastructure through innovative Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions and critical supply chain systems.

You'll design and implement resilient technology solutions that power Amazon's worldwide operations, working on projects that drive significant business impact through improved system performance, automation, and operational excellence. This role offers excellent opportunities to grow your technical leadership skills while working with AWS technologies and enterprise systems.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead technical architecture and implementation of enterprise-scale PLM and supply chain systems that impact Amazon's global operations
  • Design and deliver complex solutions that improve system resilience, performance, and business value across multiple teams
  • Drive standards for engineering excellence and operational best practices within the organization
  • Architect and implement integrations between critical enterprise systems including PLM, ERP, and procurement platforms
  • Lead cross-team technical initiatives to reduce complexity and improve operational efficiency
  • Identify and mitigate system-level risks across supply chain technology infrastructure
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to enhance team productivity and system reliability
  • Lead architecture and design reviews for complex systems, guiding teams on technical decisions and trade-offs
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to building a strong technical culture
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement in system monitoring, alerting, and operational excellence
  • Influence technical strategy and roadmap decisions across multiple teams
  • Decompose complex problems into achievable projects that can be executed by multiple teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
  • 5+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with distributed systems at scale

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
