Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to support modernization of a government information system. This hybrid role can be based in Annapolis Junction, MD or Reston, VA, focusing on UI testing, backend troubleshooting, test automation, and compliance validation across enterprise applications.

The candidate will develop test plans, validate UI and API components, and integrate automated testing into GitLab CI/CD pipelines, requiring extensive experience and a TS/SCI

Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience in software testing, QA, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Strong experience with functional, regression, UI, and cross-browser testing of web applications.
• Experience reviewing backend logs and troubleshooting application or system failures.
• Hands-on experience with SQL for database validation and data verification.
• Experience with system installation, configuration, and integration activities.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD environments.
• Strong technical documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred experience with Apache Tomcat, Oracle 19c, Solr, SAP Business Intelligence, Windows Server environments, RESTful API testing, and GitLab CI/CD.
