Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Sr. Sustainability Analyst to support our Environmental Sustainability team.

The role focuses on tracking Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions data across the Americas region and driving sustainability initiatives within the real estate portfolio. The candidate should have hands-on sustainability and data skills, with proficiency in Excel and Smartsheet, and experience leading certifications and related projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of sustainability data and reporting experience.
• Familiarity with GHG frameworks and green certification standards.
• Strong data analysis and Excel/Smartsheet proficiency.

Responsibilities

Job TitleSr. Sustainability AnalystJob Description SummaryThis position will support the client’s Environmental Sustainability team to track Scope 1, 2, and 3We are seeking a detail-oriented Sustainability Analyst with hands-on experience working in sustainability, preferably in the real estate sector. This position will support our client’s Environmental Sustainability team to track Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data and assist with sustainability initiatives throughout the client’s real estate portfolio focusing on the Americas Region. The position will require a demonstrated passion for environmental sustainability and a keen eye for detail. The role will report to the Global Sustainability and Energy Manager on the same account.Experience with sustainability, energy management, and/or green building certifications is required, along with excellent data skills and proficiency in excel and/or Smartsheet.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESServes as subject matter expert for the Americas regionMaintain client’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 data:QA/QC responsibilities for real estate data reportingSupport the client with all required reportingWork with facilities and real estate teams across the region to implement initiatives to reduce Scope 1 & 2 emissionsDevelop and deliver training on sustainability topicsLead waste-related certifications for officesTrack waste data and identify areas of opportunitySupport the creation and delivery of training on zero waste strategies and proper waste segregationLead green building certifications and recertification for the regionRepresent the C&W Sustainability Team in all green certification sustainability meetingSuccessfully lead sustainability projects from conception to completion, including project management, and financial trackingSupport facilities management with any sustainability enquires and identification of any areas of opportunityPreparation of dashboards and data visualization for the clientPresent to client at quarterly meetingsParticipate in client meetings and workshops and maintain required documentationConduct benchmarking and research on sustainability trendsMINIMUM EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in relevant field will be considered3+ years experienceMINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSHave experience of green certifications such as LEED, BREEAM, Greenstar, etc. or willing to gain accreditationExperience of implementing sustainability initiatives to drive emissions reductionsNeeds to be detail oriented and be able to use Microsoft Excel to a high level and/or SmartsheetADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSFamiliarity with GHG reportingExperience of implementing sustainability initiatives, in particular energy efficiency initiativesGreen accreditations strongly preferredFamiliarity with interval data, meter readings, local and international green certification, energy efficiency programs and sustainability organizationsProven collaboration skills, administrative ability, technical background, and project responsibility experienceKEY COMPETENCIES1.
