Position Summary

The Sr. Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room, preparing and stocking the OR before and after surgery, gathering clean and sterile supplies, setting sterile instrument fields, maintaining and monitoring aseptic techniques, assisting with new staff orientation, and participating on departmental committees. The position requires floating between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed.

Candidates with less than 2 years of experience may be considered for hire as a Surgical Tech (8931) with a pay range of $32.01 - $39.78 per hour.

Required Qualifications

• Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility
• Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology
• BLS Required
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrub Technician Certification
