Job summary

UCI Health in California seeks a Sr. Surgical Tech to support operating room patient care. Responsibilities include preparing and stocking the OR, assembling sterile fields, and maintaining aseptic technique.

Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The Sr. Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room. Prepares and stocks the OR before and after surgery. gathers clean and sterile supplies. sets sterile instrument fields. maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. assists with the orientation of new staff. and participates on departmental committees. Required to float between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed.

Candidates with less than 2 years of experience may be considered for hire as a Surgical Tech (8931) with a pay range of $32.01-$39.78

Required Qualifications

What It Takes to be Successful

• Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility
• Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology
• BLS Required
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrub Technician Certification
