Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a manufacturing leadership professional in Cincinnati to guide front-line teams in packaging and production activities. You will foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement while using lean concepts and ERP systems.

The role emphasizes coaching, scheduling, and ensuring 100% training compliance. A minimum of 5 years in a regulated setting and 2 years in leadership are required, with a bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a regulated industry.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to motivate and develop staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provides one-to-one feedback to area leads and direct reports regarding team/individual performance.
  • Develops a plan with staff to achieve goals and tracks progress using performance metrics.
  • Implements ownership culture and management routines to improve compliance and efficiency.
  • Maintains consistency with peers to ensure smooth transitions across shifts.
  • Leads Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) sessions for continuous performance improvement.
  • Works with Maintenance to predict and prevent unplanned downtime.
  • Assists with quality investigations and CAPA.
  • Reviews and approves completed batch records.
  • Creates, revises, reviews and approves SOPs.
  • Completes training requirements and maintains 100% team compliance.
  • Implements shop floor schedule based on product demand.
  • Performs duties per policies/procedures, cGMPs, and Batch Record instructions.
  • Coaches and mentors employees for development.

Our Team, Your Impact

This position provides front line leadership to direct reports in support of the manufacturing/packaging of drug products. The preferred candidate drives a culture of compliance, ownership and continuous improvement by blending lean concepts with working knowledge of equipment, processes and systems.

How You’ll Spend Your Day
  • Provides one-to-one feedback to area leads and direct reports regarding team/individual performance

Your Skills and Experience
Education/Certification/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience in manufacturing operations (considered)
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a regulated industry
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership role
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Motivate and lead others
  • Computer proficiency; automated systems (ERP) preferred
  • Self-directed; able to organize and prioritize work
