Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Apply lean supply philosophy and perform basic analytics using Microsoft products and supply chain tools.
• Receive materials, verify items/quantities, process receipts in the inventory system, RTVs, tagging and staging for delivery.
• Review reports, adjust par levels with departments, coordinate improvements, maintain standardized supply model and assist w/JIT room audits.
• Provide daily oversight of material functions with safety focus, ensure compliance with BJC/OSHA/Joint Commission and conduct housekeeping in supply rooms.
• Process stock/non-stock orders, coordinate with procurement to resolve issues, RTVs, discrepancies, recalls and returns to vendor.

Barnes Jewish West County Hospital is seeking a Sr. Supply Distribution Technician to join our team.

This position will support the Operating Room by pulling scheduled cases for the following day and assisting with processing and putting away case returns. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, navigating a handheld device, and maintaining accuracy while handling inventory and supplies.

Schedule: M-F 6 AM-2:30 PM

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Oversees daily management of medical material (supplies, equipment and linen) for multiple departments throughout the hospital and/or network. Primary duties will include supply room and warehouse cleaning and organization, department customer service, reviewing item par levels and usage with department leadership, bin optimization, material ordering, receiving and stocking, assisting with manufacturer recall notifications/usage investigations. Aids in training, mentoring and developing new Supply Technicians. Performs other duties as assigned. Senior Supply Techs should be able to perform all core competencies as well as assist in training, mentoring and development of Supply Techs.

Responsibilities

• Able to apply lean supply philosophy, performs basic analytics using Microsoft products and other tools available through supply chain management systems.
• Performs material receiving functions verifying correct items, quantities, processing receipts in the inventory management computer system, process RTVs, tagging/labeling and staging items for delivery.
• Review reports, collaborate with department staff to adjust par levels, coordinate opportunities for improvement, implement and maintain standardized community supply model, assist w/JIT room audits.
• Provides daily oversight of material functions while ensuring a safety focused environment complying with BJC, OSHA, Joint Commission standards and performs housekeeping functions in supply rooms.
• Processes stock/non-stock orders in the inventory management systems, coordinates with procurement to resolve order issues, RTVs, discrepancies, match exceptions, recalls and returns to vendor.
