Job summary

Justrite Safety Group seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement and planning, optimizing supplier relationships and driving strategic initiatives. You will improve service levels, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

You will lead a team, collaborate with operations and quality, and drive sustainability and ethical sourcing across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain management roles, leading end-to-end operations.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management experience.
  • Experience in material planning and stocking profiles to optimize service while controlling costs.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and regulations.
  • Experience with digital procurement tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for OTD and customer service levels.
  • Oversee planning ensuring accurate stock positions and optimal inventory.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with goals and market trends.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to select strategic suppliers meeting quality, cost, delivery.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and contracts to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
  • Build strong supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop supplier performance metrics and scorecards to monitor outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and plan contingencies.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and quality to align sourcing with objectives.
  • Drive sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on performance and savings.

The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

Justrite Safety Group company is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead our procurement and planning function, and drive strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing / improving customer service levels, supplier relationships, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall efficiency of our supply chain. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven track record of implementing innovative supply chain strategies to achieve business objectives.

What You'll Do at Justrite:
  • Accountable for Business Unit OTD and service levels to provide world class customer service.
  • Oversee planning for business unit including ensuring accurate stock positions and correct inventory levels
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals, market trends, and industry best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the identification, evaluation, and selection of strategic suppliers, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings, mitigate risks, and drive value for the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive innovation within the supply chain through supplier-driven initiatives, technology adoption, and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement robust supplier performance measurement systems, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards, to monitor and improve supplier performance.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, financial, and operational risks, through effective risk management strategies and contingency planning.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, global economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting sourcing decisions, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and quality assurance, to ensure sourcing strategies are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Drive sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives, promoting environmentally responsible and socially conscious procurement practices.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and updates to senior management on supply chain performance, cost savings achievements, and strategic initiatives.
Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain management roles, with a focus on leading and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management and supplier negotiations.
  • Experience in material planning and establishing stocking profiles to deliver exceptional customer service levels while managing costs and inventory.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and industry regulations.
  • Experience in implementing digital procurement tools and technologies preferred.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment required. Experience in poly urethane or resin manufacturing a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferred.
