Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an analytics professional to provide complex analysis for pharmacy inventory analytics. You will develop reports and dashboards using Databricks, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint to support data-driven decisions.

You will work with the team to improve reporting processes, support change initiatives, and guide other analysts. This role requires strong Excel, SQL, and Python skills and a background in supply chain or business analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 year of experience in a supply chain or business role.
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel: pivot table creation, proficiency in SUMIFS & VLOOKUPS.
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex analysis of information, problems, and/or data under limited supervision. Develops recommendations for review by leadership.
  • Tracks, monitors and measures benefits of implemented solutions; acts as subject matter expert.
  • Communicates risks to leadership with proposed mitigation plans and uses sound judgement to choose methods.
  • Computes metrics involving complex issues and develops disseminates complex reports.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel and shares knowledge with the team.
  • Resolves complex issues and provides guidance to other team members.

Job description

Responsible for providing complex analysis of information and/or problems for pharmacy inventory analytics team.

Develops and delivers reports, dashboards, and presentations to support data-driven decision-making using tools such as Databricks, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint. Analyzes and communicates the impact of current and proposed solutions, contributes to improving reporting processes, supports change initiatives, and provides guidance and feedback to other analysts on the team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs complex analysis of information, problems, and/or data under limited supervision. Develops recommendations for the review of lead and/or management.
  • Tracks, monitors and measures the benefit of implemented solutions for complex issues, applying company policies and procedures in the resolution of a wide range of issues. Acts as a subject matter expert with a full understanding of the area of specialization. Performs gap analysis and cost benefit analysis where indicated.
  • Communicates risks to leadership with proposed plans for mitigation. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Computes metrics involving complex issues.
  • Develops, analyzes and disseminates complex reports.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise, working collaboratively and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Resolves complex issues.
  • Receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
  • Recommends streamlined processes and process improvements to more leadership. Assists in driving change as needed.
  • Provides guidance and feedback to other team members.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 years of experience in a supply chain or business role OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in a supply chain or business role.
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel: pivot table creation, proficiency in SUMIFS & VLOOKUPS and general formatting.
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Inventory management experience
  • Analytics and/or forecast modeling experience
  • Advanced in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
  • Proficient in Python for data analysis.
