Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sr. Quality Engineer to join their Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier quality to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements. With a focus on PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), the Supplier Quality Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining product quality and enhancing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough supplier assessments and audits to evaluate performance and compliance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to drive improvements in quality and process efficiency.
  • Facilitate the PPAP process, ensuring timely submission and approval of documentation.
  • Perform FMEA to identify potential failure modes and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, purchasing, and production, to resolve quality issues.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and generate reports for management review.
  • Participate in supplier selection and qualification processes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers on quality-related issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem‑solving efforts for supplier-related non‑conformances.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by implementing best practices and lessons learned.
What we are seeking
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or in a similar quality assurance role in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with PPAP and FMEA processes.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficiency in quality assurance tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to travel to supplier locations as required.
