Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a finance professional to oversee program finance and FP&A. The role covers cost and schedule execution, EACs, and proposal support, with responsibility for cash and resource management. Location is hybrid, with preferred proximity to Tewksbury, MA, and relocation not provided.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field & a minimum of 5 years of related work experience; OR an Advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
  • Experience with Estimates at Completion (EAC's) or similar systems and tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • U.S. citizenship is required for access to the financial system due to government requirements.

What You Will Do
  • The selected candidate will have 1 direct report and be responsible for financial excellence across all program finance and business-related activities including cost and schedule execution and reporting, Estimates at Complete (EACs), financial planning and analysis (FP&A), proposal support, cash management, resource management including staffing and investments, audit support, and contract startup, execution, and closeout.
  • The selected candidate must excel at multi-tasking, effective and influential communication, innovative problem solving, and must have a firm understanding of financial principles common to the aerospace and defense industry.
  • This role is being offered in a hybrid capacity (onsite & remote). The preferred candidate will be located within a commutable distance to Tewksbury, MA. Other locations that may be considered: Tucson, AZ; McKinney, TX; Huntsville, AL; Dulles, VA. Relocation assistance is not being provided.
  • Internal and External Deliverables
  • Growth and development of direct report
  • Prepare and brief finance charts for Program Management Reviews, monthly operating reviews, financial overviews and other reporting activities as required
  • Quarterly Estimates at Complete (EACs) of required programs
  • Support the development of the long range and annual operating plans
  • Monthly forecast development and presentation (FP&A)
  • Support proposal development and program startup / contract closeout activities.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field & a minimum of 5 years of related work experience; OR an Advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.

  • Experience with Raytheon business systems including SAP, BW, RPlan, EDIT+ or a similar system.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

  • Experience with proposal & pre-proposal management
  • Experience with company funded investment vehicles (CFR/AR)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in written form
  • Able to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvement

This position is classified as: Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
