Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks a Rigging Superintendent for our Columbia, SC region. The role leads the General Foreman and crews, manages schedules, interprets plans, and enforces safety programs under SIC policies as part of EMCOR Group guidance.

We require a Rigger Journeyman with 5+ years of experience and 3+ years in supervision; travel may be significant, and punctual attendance is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Rigger Journeyman level minimum of 5+ years of experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities of General Foreman and assigned craft workers.
• Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of equipment and personnel.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for supervision area.
• Maintains time records.
• Interpret company policies to workers, and enforce safety regulations.
• Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
• Analyze and resolve work problems.
• Coordinate the movement of equipment and material according to signals.
• Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Perform frequent safety inspections to ensure compliance with SIC safety program.
• Appropriate journeyman experience required.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Significant travel may be required.
