Job summary

Barton Malow Company is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to join our Columbus team. This role provides hands-on field leadership, overseeing day-to-day construction operations to ensure delivery on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The position focuses on coordinating subcontractors and trade partners, enforcing safety and quality expectations, and resolving field challenges on complex projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of superintendent leadership experience.
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Willingness to travel and onsite presence for duration of assignment.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all phases of the construction project from initial planning through closeout.
• Communicate and enforce safety and quality control processes and procedures.
• Supervise, coordinate, and sequence contractor work to minimize interference between trades.
• Maintain records of labor and material cost, and track inventory to support the schedule.
• Address and resolve trade disputes and work jurisdiction issues.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to field staff and manage relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and trade partners.

In this role, you'll provide hands‑on field leadership, overseeing day‑to‑day construction operations while ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This position is critical to coordinating subcontractors and trade partners, enforcing safety and quality expectations, and resolving field challenges on complex projects. The ideal candidate brings proven superintendent leadership and the ability to build strong relationships with project teams, trade partners, and internal stakeholders. This is a travel‑based role; candidates should be comfortable being on‑site at the project location for the duration of the assignment.
