Arup is seeking a Senior Substation Designer to deliver HV substation design projects for utilities, renewables interconnection, and data centers. This role supports conceptual through design completion, coordinating with engineers and other disciplines.
The position allows work from West Coast or South offices, with mentoring of junior designers and CAD technicians, and adherence to codes, standards, and client specs. HP ranges may apply based on location and experience.

We are seeking a Senior Substation Designer with technical experience in the design of HV substations for power utilities and for the interconnection of renewables and data centers. In this role you will support the delivery of substation design projects from the conceptual phase through design completion for electric utilities, contractors and developers.
This position can be worked out of our West coast (San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle) or South (Houston, Dallas or Austin) offices.
