Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. in Milwaukee area is seeking a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Analyst to lead sourcing for NPD and existing products, and to develop supplier strategies across assigned categories.

You will manage $30–$50 million in commodity spend, drive cost reductions, negotiate master supplier agreements, and mentor the Sourcing team as part of a dynamic manufacturing organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing.
• BS in SCM, Business Admin, or equivalent.
• Experience with castings, metal fabrication, hydraulics, drivetrains, engines or plastics.
• Willingness to travel 20–30%.
• APICS certification would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize supplier relationships.

You will also independently develop, implement and drive Category/Subcategory as well as Supplier Strategies for non-globally driven categories. What you will be doing:

• The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst will drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize supplier relationships while leveraging deep sourcing expertise.
• Responsibilities include managing $30 to $50 million commodity spend, developing sourcing strategies, and collaborating with key cross-functional teams.
• Lead negotiations and execute master supplier agreements
• Analysis of purchase volumes within category to drive supplier consolidation, cost reduction, product portfolio/supplier capability efficiency
• Manage quoting and negotiations
• Lead supplier selection process for both Global and Regional strategies on both current product and New Product Development components
• Mentor, coach, and train new Sourcing team members

What they are looking for

• Expertise in strategic sourcing and commodity management.
• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing
• Exposure to commodities such as castings, metal fabrication, hydraulics, drivetrains, engines, or plastics.
• Working Knowledge of master supplier agreements and cost breakdown methodologies.
• Strong communication and negation skills
• Understand timeline development and cost structures
• BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Open to 20% to 30% travel
• APICS Certification would be a plus
