Senior Strategic Alliance Manager – Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Partnership

The Opportunity:

At OpenText, we power and protect information to elevate every person and every organization to their full potential. As a Senior Strategic Alliance Manager (Sr. SAM), you will play a critical role in designing and executing our partner growth strategy with Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) across UKI and Western Europe.

This is more than a typical partner role. You will collaborate deeply with both OpenText and HPE stakeholders to deliver joint value to customers, drive revenue growth, and build sustainable, high-impact alliances. You will lead with strategic thinking, data-backed planning, and a consultative approach that ensures our go-to-market alignment delivers results.

You will stop at nothing to ensure our partnerships unlock new opportunities, generate demand, and provide transformative solutions to customers. You will thrive in a dynamic environment where your ability to influence, enable, and grow relationships at all levels will make the difference.

Your Impact:
  • Lead the partner growth strategy with HPE across your assigned territory, focusing on revenue acceleration and mutual success.
  • Design, build, and execute a joint business plan with measurable objectives and growth targets.
  • Own the partnership relationship, fostering senior executive alignment and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Drive joint sales planning, customer account engagement, and partner enablement initiatives that deliver measurable pipeline and revenue.
  • Support partner marketing and demand generation programs to capture new market opportunities.
  • Evangelize OpenText solutions within the HPE ecosystem through regular sales meetings, local events, and enablement sessions.
  • Guide localization efforts, program alignment, and delivery capabilities to support customer success.
  • Share best practices and partner strategies with other regional alliance teams to continuously strengthen our global approach.

What the Role Offers:

  • The opportunity to lead the growth of a key global alliance with one of our most strategic partners.
  • Executive-level engagement with OpenText, HPE, and customer stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, enablement, and delivery.
  • The chance to shape partner strategy, drive innovation, and contribute directly to OpenText’s growth.
  • A dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where your strategic thinking and execution skills will shine.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in field sales, partner management, or partner sales with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience working with global software vendors and system integrators.
  • Demonstrated success in developing, managing, and growing strategic alliances and partner ecosystems.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage C-level executives and senior leadership.
  • Strong sales acumen with the ability to identify, qualify, and convert joint opportunities.
  • Expertise in program and project management to drive partner enablement and marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to influence at all organizational levels with diplomacy and strategic insight.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and planning skills with a focus on business value and solution alignment.
  • Passion for collaboration, continuous learning, and sharing best practices across teams.

One Last Thing:

At OpenText, you will be part of a global community that values trust, collaboration, and meaningful outcomes. As a Senior Strategic Alliance Manager, your ability to drive strategic partnerships, empower sales teams, and deliver joint customer success will directly shape the future of OpenText’s growth with HPE.

Your impact will be recognized, and your success will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package in a high-performing, supportive environment.
