Role & Responsibilities:
- Uses SAS or other software to develop custom programming code to generate summary tables, data listings, graphs, and derived datasets as specified in the statistical analysis plan and programming specifications.
- Ensures that outputs meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Performs validation programming and collaborates with Programmers, Biostatisticians, and other team members to resolve discrepancies.
- Informs team members of programming progress and issues requiring attention.
- Follows SOPs, WIs, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH).
- Maintains organized, complete, and up-to-date documentation, testing, and quality control records, ensuring inspection readiness.
- Manages scheduling and prioritizes across multiple projects, adapting to changes as needed.
- Develops specifications for datasets and outputs, addressing potential issues proactively.
- Prepares for meetings, contributes ideas, and respects team opinions.
- Conducts effective meetings, distributes minutes, and follows up on action items.
- Collaborates with others and supports projects to meet business needs.
- Estimates time for programming tasks and completes activities within deadlines.
- Acts as the lead statistical programmer, overseeing others' activities and monitoring progress.
- Reviews project documentation and provides feedback to improve efficiency.
- Participates in sponsor and project meetings as a programming representative.
- Mentors programming staff through training and review.
- Transfers deliverables and performs manual quality control of outputs, including document comparison, project management, and review of work by other programmers.
