Job summary

Ford is seeking a leadership-level PM to drive software development processes within the IVI/RTD platform team in our Palo Alto area office. You will coordinate across software, systems, and testing groups, manage schedules, risks, and external vendors, and influence priorities across vehicle software domains.

Required are a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 15+ years in software project/program management; PMP and Scrum Master certifications are a plus; MBA is

Responsibilities

• Provide software development process and project management for the RTD team (Real Time Domain) within the IVI Team (In-Vehicle-Infotainment Team), focusing on the Platform aspect of the development.
• Cover topics including UWB, Bluetooth, NFC, BLE, Power Modding, FuSa items, Ethernet Switch and Cyber Security.
• Identify potential risks in development and assess program impact; mitigate risk with Engineering managers.
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams to deliver committed project outcomes.
• Work with software engineers, system engineers, testing engineers, and product managers through the project lifecycle.
• Lead external vendors on timelines and deliverables; coordinate milestones between internal and external releases.
• Drive multiple technical projects across vehicle software domains and help set engineering priorities.

What you’ll do...

• Lead external vendors on timelines and deliverables and take responsibility for milestone coordination between internal and external releases.
• Drive several technical projects across vehicle software domains, helping set priorities for engineering.

You’ll have...

• B.S. in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• 15+ years of experience in project, program or product management in software.

This position is a leadership level 5 and ranges from $167,200-$316,600.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
