The Ads Quality team helps Pinners move from inspiration to action by showing the right ad at the right time. We focus on optimizing the ads experience for Pinners, Advertisers, and Pinterest's overall value. Our work involves developing modules that personalize and curate ads, providing meaningful content that enhances user engagement and business impact. Your contributions will be highly visible and impactful, shaping the future of Pinterest’s advertising experience.

The ideal candidate is passionate about delighting Pinners and has a strong intuition for user experience. They should possess a deep understanding of ads delivery systems, content interaction effects, and marketplace tradeoffs.

What You’ll Do
  1. Own the strategy and execution for how ads appear on the page by developing and launching thematic modules that guide users toward high-value actions with minimal disruption. Articulate the strategic vision, develop roadmaps, and drive end-to-end implementation.
  2. Collaborate closely with engineering, machine learning, data science, product marketing, and design teams to bring new Pinner experiences to life. Serve as the main point of contact across backend and frontend teams, ensuring the ads delivery system effectively integrates modules into the user experience.
  3. Build a comprehensive suite of ad modules that transform user engagement, enabling Pinners to opt into experiences that suit them and increasing value for advertisers.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in digital advertising roles such as Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Data Scientist.
  • Proven ability to define new products and strategies in ambiguous spaces and execute from ideation to launch.
  • Strong collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders, with empathy and anticipation of their needs.
  • Deep understanding of business metrics and tradeoffs in online marketplaces.
  • Preferred: Experience with Ads Marketplace and/or Ads Formats.
  • Preferred: Direct experience with ads delivery systems.
  • Preferred: Experience designing, running, or analyzing marketplace experiments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Additional Information

This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.

The role requires in-office collaboration 1-2 times per quarter, and can be based anywhere in the US.

Salary range: $193,800—$399,000 USD. The position is also eligible for equity. Final salary depends on experience, location, and skills.
