Job Description
NBCUniversal’s Operations and Technology group seeks a Senior Staff Network Engineer with extensive knowledge in network technologies, especially application load balancing. Expertise in F5 deployments is required. The role involves working with diverse customers to meet SLAs and is based at one of NBC’s core production facilities in Universal City, Denver, NYC, or Miami.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• 12+ years experience with F5 LTM, GTM, ASM, AFM
• Experience managing F5 devices via BIG-IQ
• Proficiency with TC and iRules
• Experience with BIG-IQ API
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, security
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment near one of NBC's locations
• Ability to develop technical documentation
• Support Tier3/4 escalation in a global SRE on-call rotation
• Manage network reporting and dashboards
• Experience with automation and lifecycle management
• Collaboration with internal audit and cyber teams

Desired Characteristics:
• Certifications: F5 Solution Expert, Palo Alto PCSAE/PCNSE, CCNP
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB and API automation
• Vendor management and platform review experience
• Cross-functional team collaboration skills

Additional Requirements:
• Hybrid work model, minimum three days in-office
• Salary range: $140,000 - $170,000, bonus eligible
