Overview:
Blue Yonder's Platform Data Cloud team aims to revolutionize supply chain technology and serve as the backbone of Blue Yonder's SaaS products. This role is a key global architect focusing on innovation in SaaS platform engineering, covering infrastructure architecture through enterprise and application platform features, to enhance our cloud data team's delivery and quality.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality design and implementation, influencing what is built and how.
- Build and productionize data ingestion and processing pipelines in Snowflake.
- Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture and features, including integration with other data processing tools.
- Apply innovative solutions to improve delivery effectiveness, focusing on product development, deployment, and infrastructure consistency.
- Provide standardized enterprise solutions for cloud infrastructure and application deployment across multiple products.
- Utilize software engineering patterns and a meta-driven systems approach to build robust, scalable systems.
- Expertise in Object-Oriented and Functional programming, applying these skills in product development.
- Influence and collaborate with fellow engineers on software design and implementation.
- Experience with large-scale Kubernetes systems, including scaling large services.
- Design modular and service-based architectures.
- Work within a global team across US, Canada, India, and Germany, requiring quick learning and adaptability.
Technical Environment:
Tools: Java, Python, Groovy, GitHub, Node.js, React.js, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, etc.
Architecture: Scalable, resilient, event-driven, secure multi-tenant microservices.
Cloud: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Virtual Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)
Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NoSQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Snowflake
Qualifications:
- Masters/Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (REQUIRED).
- 5+ years in Snowflake data engineering and Python (preferred).
- Overall 10+ years in IT industry (Senior role).
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, Bulk copy, Snowpipe, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Cloning, Metadata Manager, data sharing, stored procedures, UDFs, Snowsight, Streamlit (REQUIRED).
- Experience building robust, scalable data lakes.
- Ability to deliver POCs quickly for new Snowflake features.
- Strong experience with Snowflake and NoSQL datastores like Elasticsearch, Postgres.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jira, Git, Jenkins, containerization.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving.
- Experience leading software product delivery in Agile environments.
- Snowflake certification is a plus.
- Leadership experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
- Experience with enterprise multi-tenant software.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range: $122,219 - $189,615. Compensation depends on skills, experience, and location. Eligible for bonuses or commissions.
