Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Staff Data Engineer (Remote-Eligible) to help define the future of data platforms in the cloud. You will join a team of data engineers, scientists, ML experts, PMs and leaders to design and operate scalable data solutions and real-time pipelines.

The role requires extensive experience in data modeling, Spark, streaming and data warehousing, with AWS and distributed compute workloads. This is a high-impact, collaborative position across multiple data domains.

Staff Data Engineer (Remote -Eligible) As a Senior Staff Data Engineer at Capital One, you will be part of a community of technical experts working to define the future of data platforms and banking in the cloud. Skills, with evidence

At least 4 years of experience in data modeling and designing end-to-end data solutions using both relational and non-relational database systems must have

• Python At least 7 years of experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, or Scala must have
  • SQL 12+ years of experience in application development with demonstrated proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java must have
    • Spark 8+ years of experience building or supporting distributed data or compute workloads using tools such as EMR, Spark, Glue, or Databricks must have
