Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Wilmington, MA seeks a Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer for the 2nd shift to design, integrate, test, and deliver space-based remote sensing systems. You will lead cross-functional teams and coordinate systems engineering activities across the program lifecycle.

The role requires deep experience in space systems engineering, strong modeling skills, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance. Relocation may be provided; sign-on bonus up to $20K is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of experience.
• 4+ years of systems engineering experience; 2+ years in modeling and simulation.
• Experience developing products for space-based applications.

• Support concept of operation development and requirements analysis, decomposition and generation at various levels of the system.
• Conduct systems modeling and simulation to analyze system performance and validate requirements.

Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies has an immediate opening for a Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer on 2nd shift in Wilmington, MA. The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in all aspects of the systems engineering process, will have direct and significant experience designing and testing complex systems, and will be comfortable coordinating teams of technical personnel. In this role you will help design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver critical space-based remote sensing systems to our customers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• 4+ years of experience with systems engineering principles and practices
• 2+ years experience with systems modeling and simulation
• Professional experience developing products for space-based applications

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Active U.S. Security Clearance
• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or similar certification.
• Experience with SysML (Systems Modeling Language).
• Prior experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead complex technical projects and teams

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $106,500.00 - $197,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
