Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Sustainability, the role involves supporting the development and implementation of the company's sustainability strategy, policies, programs, training, and reporting. The focus is on maintaining a Sustainability Reporting Control Framework and drafting disclosures for regulators, investors, and sustainability organizations. This requires experience with internal control environments and regulatory disclosures.

Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve controls over sustainability reporting.
  • Evaluate, collect, prepare, and review disclosures to meet regulatory and other frameworks; assist in rating agency evaluations.
  • Use the company’s ESG software (Auditboard) to track and monitor ESG metrics, confirm control performance, and identify new metrics for continuous improvement. Link ESG topics to metrics and reporting frameworks.
  • Lead or participate in initiatives addressing ESG topics.
  • Stay informed about industry and regulatory standards related to ESG metrics.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly ESG performance scorecards.
  • Prepare internal communications on emerging ESG trends, regulations, or standards.

Education

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred: Master's Degree, CPA

Experience

Minimum: 5 years in regulatory and compliance external reporting

Preferred: 8 years, with experience in internal control frameworks, assurance, materiality, risk assessments, or sustainability/environmental science.

Skills

Minimum: Advanced experience with internal controls, data analysis, MS Office, strong communication, collaboration, attention to detail, organization, and project management skills.

Preferred: Experience with multiple reporting frameworks, advanced Excel skills, understanding of material accuracy, assurance programs, sustainability frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD), and familiarity with rating agencies.
