Job summary

First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) is seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to serve as the central contact for physical security across FNBO facilities. You will monitor security systems, coordinate emergency responses, assist with access control, and ensure safety through vigilant surveillance and timely incident response.

The role involves monitoring alarms and CCTV, coordinating with emergency services, dispatching officers, and maintaining logs and reports.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making abilities, especially under pressure.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor alarm systems, CCTV cameras, and access control systems across multiple FNBO locations.
  • Identify and assess security threats, suspicious activity, and safety hazards in real-time.
  • Respond promptly to alarm activations and determine appropriate response protocols.
  • Maintain continuous awareness of security incidents and operational status across all monitored facilities.
  • Serve as primary liaison with local emergency services (police, fire, EMS).
  • Coordinate emergency response activities and provide critical information to first responders.
  • Execute emergency notification procedures and escalation protocols.
  • Monitor and track emergency situations until resolution.
  • Dispatch security officers to incidents, alarm activations, and service requests.
  • Provide real-time support and guidance to security personnel in the field.
  • Assist with processing access control requests and badge activations/deactivations.
  • Coordinate building access for after-hours personnel and vendors.
  • Respond to access-related issues.
  • Coordinate vendor access to facilities for service calls and installations.
  • Monitor vendor activity through surveillance systems.
  • Escalate urgent maintenance issues requiring immediate attention.
  • Maintain professional communication with employees, management, and external partners.
  • Prepare detailed shift reports documenting all activities and incidents.
  • Brief incoming shift personnel on ongoing situations and pending issues.
  • Provide timely updates to management regarding significant events.
  • Maintain logs and documentation in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

Summary of the Job

Business Park Wed-Fri 6am - 2pm Sat-Sun 2pm - 10pm

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator serves as the central point of contact for physical security operations across FNBO facilities. Security Monitoring & Surveillance
  • Monitor alarm systems, CCTV cameras, and access control systems across multiple FNBO locations
  • Identify and assess security threats, suspicious activity, and safety hazards in real-time
  • Respond promptly to alarm activations and determine appropriate response protocols
  • Maintain continuous awareness of security incidents and operational status across all monitored facilities
Emergency Response & Coordination

The Ideal Candidate for This Role
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid Drivers License

Preferred Experience:

  • College degree in related field (security management, criminal justice, emergency management, etc.) preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in security operations, dispatch, or related field preferred
  • Experience with security monitoring systems and CCTV operations preferred

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation

Compensation range (base pay): $41,116.00-$65,787.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range. Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
