Job summary

The Narda Microwave Corporation is seeking an experienced RF/Microwave Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Sparks, MD. The role focuses on designing RF/microwave circuitry through 18 GHz using SMT components on PCB substrates, with responsibilities spanning requirements analysis and system architecture allocation.

The successful candidate will lead design projects, present technical results to customers, and support business development with white papers and proposals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 6+ years of RF/microwave circuit design experience, or a Graduate Degree with 4+ years experience.
  • Hands-on PCB-based RF/MW circuit design for receivers and frequency converters up to 18 GHz and beyond.
  • Experience with wide bandwidth, high dynamic range, and low SWaP design is desirable.

  • Lead individual RF/MW design efforts on key projects and present technical results to customers.
  • Provide technical support for business development, including white papers and technical proposals.
  • Collaborate on system architecture development and allocate requirements for sub-assemblies.

  • Will provide technical support for Business Development activities including white papers and technical proposals.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum 6 years related experience in the area of RF/microwave circuit design, or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience.
  • Hands‑on design experience in PCB‑based design of RF/MW circuitry supporting receivers and frequency converters to 18GHz and beyond.
  • Wide bandwidth, high dynamic range, super‑­het receiver design experience is desired. Additionally, experience in mmW frequency range design, wideband digitization, and low SWaP design is helpful.
