AT&T in Southfield, Michigan seeks a Sr. Specialist RAN Engineering to deliver expert RF and Radio Access Network design for robust wireless performance. You’ll lead field deployment, validation, and optimization efforts with independent judgment on complex projects.
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, you’ll drive feasibility studies, capacity planning, and vendor coordination. A BS/BA in Engineering and up to 3 years of related RF experience are required or Certification in some areas.
This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week but will be in the field on a daily basis. No relocation is offered.

Network Design and Planning: Develop network layouts, ensure compliance, conduct feasibility studies, perform capacity planning, and manage cell site equipment layout and parameter definition.
Performance Analysis and Optimization: Monitor and optimize network performance, troubleshoot issues, analyze RAN data, and perform RF optimization and capacity management.
Implementation and Configuration: Deploy network solutions, conduct testing and validation, manage configurations, and oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of wireless RAN systems.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues, including satellite network routing problems.
Collaboration and Coordination: Work with stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, provide customer support, and coordinate installation, maintenance, and optimization activities with various teams.
As a Sr. Specialist RAN Engineering, you will be responsible for providing expert radio frequency (RF) engineering and Radio Access Network (RAN) design engineering to ensure robust and efficient network performance.
A professional with in-depth knowledge, applying organizational practices to resolve moderately difficult problems. Works with independent judgement on expansive projects with minimal supervision, implementing policy changes to improve functions. Actions impact efficiency costs, schedules and client relationships. Interacts primarily within the department and with General Managers and above across various teams.
Handle complex RAN engineering tasks; expand expertise in RAN technologies.
Required Experience:
Up to 3 years of related experience
Certification is required in some areas.

This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T's compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function.
