Job summary

ACS is seeking a Manager, Protective Services to lead our Washington, DC security team. You will oversee contract guards, supervisors, access control, CCTV and alarms, and coordinate emergency responses as incident commander.

In this role you will support executive protection, investigations, and high-profile events, while managing budgets, vendor performance, and training programs. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in security leadership are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement or emergency management.
  • Minimum three years of leadership experience.
  • Experience managing contract guard forces and security vendors.
  • Experience with access control, visitor management, and security technologies.
  • Strong understanding of incident command and emergency management principles.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents outside normal business hours.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Authority

The Manager, Protective Services is authorized to direct security operations, implement emergency protective actions, coordinate with first responders, and make immediate operational decisions necessary to protect life, property, and business operations in accordance with ACS policies.

Preferred Certifications
  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional)
  • PSP (Physical Security Professional)

This role is based in our Washington, DC office. A reasonable rate of compensation for this position is between $90,000 - $110,000 per year.
