Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Procurement to manage indirect materials including Equipment, Construction, and General Items tied to production. You will lead a team of buyers and coordinate supplier activities while developing procurement procedures to maximize efficiency.

You will source and select global suppliers, negotiate terms, monitor performance, and help shape long-term procurement strategies that align with corporate goals and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in end-to-end indirect procurement.
• “Bachelor’s degree in general business, business administration, supply chain, logistics, engineering or related field”.
• Knowledge with ERP systems.
• Certificate in CPSM preferred.
• Experience in orders/settlements/contracts for Equipment/ Construction/ MRO purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate and negotiate terms with global suppliers/vendors.
• Perform administrative duties for indirect procurement: quotations, POs, shipments, orders and payments.
• Monitor vendor performances and propose improvements.
• Analyze costs and report procurement performance to management.
• Act as buyer for MRO purchasing.
• Develop long-term procurement strategies aligned with goals.
• Develop new supplier partnerships and implement best practices.

Summary

Sr. Specialist, Procurement will manage Indirect material (Equipment, Construction, General Items related to production) and coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, and related supplier. In addition, Sr. Specialist, Procurement is responsible of developing various procedures and processes to achieve best practices. This role is responsible for sourcing and selecting global-level suppliers and maximizing investment efficiency, in order to improve the business competitiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Research, evaluate and negotiate terms with current and potential global suppliers/vendors
• Perform administrative duties covering end-to-end indirect material procurement activities that include, but not limited to, review quotations, create purchase orders, arrange shipments, track orders and issue payments
• Monitor vendor performances and recommend improvement solutions
• Analyze costs and report procurement performances to management
• Act as buyer for maintenance repair operations
• Develop long term procurement strategies and align procurement policies with organizational goals
• Develop new supplier partnerships and implement best practices

Qualifications:

• At minimum 7 years of experience performing end-to-end indirect procurement
• At minimum bachelor’s degree in general business, business administration, supply chain, logistics, engineering or related field
• Knowledge with ERP systems
• Certificate in Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred
• Experience in orders/settlements/contracts for Equipment/ Construction/ MRO purchasing
