About The Role

The Sr Specialist-Groom Project will be responsible for tracking, scheduling, and coordinating all aspects of grooming actions, from a single circuit to multiple circuits, including equipment and site decommissioning. The role will serve as the single point of contact throughout the entire grooming process. These actions aim to reduce the company's operational costs.

This position can be filled remotely anywhere within the country.

What You'll Do
  • Identify and escalate issues potentially affecting network service.
  • Act and communicate openly, honestly, and fairly, following Windstream Core Values & Beliefs.
  • Coordinate grooming actions assigned efficiently.
  • Manage escalation activities and assist others as needed.
  • Participate in special projects to support the team and improve processes.
  • Coordinate with various groups both inside and outside the organization.
  • Monitor progress proactively and investigate deviations.
  • Keep all relevant personnel informed of job status, priorities, and problems.
  • Suggest and implement preventative and corrective actions to improve grooming processes.
  • Handle additional responsibilities and small projects as needed.
Do You Have
  • Proven ability to multitask with effective time management and work prioritization skills.
  • Basic technical competence in a Windows/MAC environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of network protocols such as ATM, Ethernet, SIP, and IP routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, STATIC.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Voice protocols and features, WAN/LAN topology.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and support team needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and web applications.
  • Quick learner with the ability to handle high-stress situations professionally.
  • Positive, proactive attitude, outgoing and courteous.
  • Ability to train peers and lead projects.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
  • Project coordination skills and effective communication skills preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and basic telecommunications knowledge.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and 4-6 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in digital roles. College hours or degree may substitute experience as appropriate.

Compensation range: $63,600 - $81,100.
