Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Sr Specialist, Finance Reporting and Power BI Development to lead enterprise reporting initiatives and support Finance Transformation. You will design scalable Power BI solutions, govern data quality, and collaborate with Finance, Technology, and Accounting teams to deliver accurate, timely insights.

You will mentor other developers, ensure adherence to standards, and help evolve analytics capabilities across the organization while maintaining comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of experience and expertise in strategic planning for finance systems, managing stakeholders, and executing outcome driven projects.
• Outstanding strategic planning skills to execute finance system transformations.
• Advanced skills managing expectations and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ability to focus on and achieve desired outcomes in finance transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Finance reporting solutions using Power BI and related analytics technologies.
• Lead reporting initiatives supporting Finance Transformation programs, including ERP modernization, US GAAP reporting, and management reporting enhancements.
• Establish and enforce reporting governance, development standards, data quality controls, and documentation requirements.
• Guide and advance capabilities within and outside of the team, providing technical oversight and review of reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Technology, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize reporting deliverables.
• Design and optimize data models, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) calculations, and reporting architectures to support complex financial and operational reporting needs.
• Support audit, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements through strong data governance and control practices.
• Contribute to the evolution of Finance analytics capabilities, including self-service reporting, automation, and emerging AI-enabled insights.
• Maintain documentation to ensure continuity of critical reporting processes and solutions.
• Contribute to strategic planning and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Job Description Summary

As the Sr Specialist, Finance Reporting and Power BI Development you will be responsible for critical reporting capabilities as part of Finance Transformation and ongoing operational support. Perform development efforts across multiple projects across the Finance reporting portfolio, collaborate with stakeholders to create value-add solutions, ensure adherence to reporting standards and governance requirements, and provide mentorship and guidance to other developers.
