Job description

What You Will Be Doing:

Epson is a global technology leader whose philosophy of efficient, compact and precise innovation enriches lives and helps create a better world. The Senior Specialist, Content Marketing is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and creation of content leveraged throughout Epson’s marketing efforts. This role partners across the organization to deliver compelling content that supports business priorities, strengthens brand authority, and engages target audiences.

This is a remote position and you must be currently located within the continguous United States.

Content Strategy & Thought Leadership
  • Lead the development, production, management, and distribution of high-quality thought leadership and content marketing programs across Epson’s U.S. lines of business, translating business priorities, customer insights, and market trends into compelling content.
  • Partner cross-functionally with business units, product marketing, communications, digital, social, demand generation, sales, agencies, and subject-matter experts to develop an integrated content strategy and editorial roadmap aligned with business and audience objectives.
  • Operate with a brand publisher mindset, identifying the topics, questions, trends, and insights most valuable to Epson audiences and developing content that builds authority, drives engagement, supports demand generation, and creates clear paths to conversion.
  • Develop and maintain editorial standards and governance that ensure content consistently reflects Epson’s brand voice, positioning, style, quality standards, and business objectives.
Editorial, Search & AI Optimization
  • Apply best practices in SEO, generative engine optimization (GEO), AI search optimization, content architecture, and structured content to improve the visibility and discoverability of Epson content across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery experiences.
  • Understand how search behavior and content discovery are evolving through generative AI, answer engines, and large language models, and translate those developments into practical content strategies.
  • Create and optimize content for authority, relevance, clarity, citation-worthiness, and reuse, helping Epson become a trusted source for customers, industry influencers, search engines, and AI-powered platforms.
  • Use audience insights, search data, competitive intelligence, and performance analytics to identify content opportunities, gaps, and emerging topics across Epson’s businesses.
Project & Production Management
  • Own complex content projects from concept through publication and measurement, establishing objectives, scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, stakeholder responsibilities, and approval processes.
  • Develop and manage an integrated editorial calendar spanning multiple businesses, campaigns, audiences, formats, and distribution channels.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, subject-matter experts, writers, designers, agencies, and other creative resources to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to established quality standards.
  • Proactively identify project risks, competing priorities, resource constraints, and dependencies; communicate status clearly and drive decisions needed to keep work moving.
  • Establish scalable workflows, templates, processes, and governance that improve content production efficiency and enable greater reuse of content across channels and business units.
Technology & AI-Enabled Content Operations
  • Evaluate, adopt, and apply emerging technologies to improve content research, planning, development, optimization, repurposing, distribution, and measurement.
  • Develop responsible and repeatable approaches for using AI tools while maintaining editorial judgment, factual accuracy, originality, intellectual property safeguards, brand standards, and appropriate human review.
  • Maintain curiosity about emerging marketing technologies and rapidly develop proficiency with new platforms, tools, and capabilities relevant to content marketing.
Distribution, Measurement & Optimization
  • Own and evolve Epson’s branded blog and related content experiences, supporting distribution through email/newsletters, social media, lead nurture, campaigns, and other owned and earned channels.
  • Understand social media and digital-channel best practices and adapt content formats, messaging, and distribution strategies based on audience and platform behavior.
  • Use performance data to continually optimize existing content and inform future editorial priorities, rather than treating publication as the end of the content lifecycle.
Leadership & Business Management
  • Manage external creative resources, including writers, designers, agencies, and specialized content partners, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with Epson objectives.
  • Build productive relationships with executives and subject-matter experts and help translate their expertise into distinctive, credible thought leadership.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations communicating content strategy, program priorities, performance, insights, and recommendations.
  • Manage budgets associated with content marketing programs and external resources, identifying opportunities to maximize impact and operational efficiency.
What You Will Bring:
  • Five to eight years+ of experience in content marketing, editorial strategy, marketing communications, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success developing integrated content strategies and translating complex business or technical topics into compelling, audience-focused content
  • Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to develop credible thought leadership and communicate effectively with senior leaders and diverse audiences
  • Strong project management skills, including experience managing multiple priorities, editorial calendars, stakeholders, timelines, budgets, and external creative resources.
  • Knowledge of search optimization, evolving AI-enabled discovery practices, content architecture, and digital distribution strategies
  • Experience using audience insights, market intelligence, and performance analytics to identify opportunities, evaluate results, and optimize content programs
