Legend Biotech in the U.S. is seeking a Senior Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to support the Raritan, NJ site and broader U.S. operations. You will help with supplier onboarding, contract workflow, and compliant purchasing, ensuring timely execution and alignment with policies.

You will analyze supplier markets, manage requisitions, and maintain master data in SAP S/4 HANA while collaborating with Finance and stakeholders to optimize costs and supply assurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline required.
• 3-4 years of relevant sourcing or procurement experience; GMP/pharma/manufacturing background preferred.
• Experience with SAP/S/4 HANA and PR/PO lifecycle and related procurement systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Power BI experience is a plus.
• Ability to learn new systems and AI-enabled workflows with human oversight.
• English language required.

Responsibilities

• Assist sourcing, vendor selection, supplier market analysis, benchmarking, and commercial evaluation.
• Support business units in developing requirements and monitor supplier performance against scopes of work and POs.
• Support purchasing operations: requisitions, orders, open orders, invoicing, and records.
• Maintain supplier master data and onboarding in SAP S/4HANA; coordinate W-9 and ACH docs.
• Assist contract review, negotiation, workflow, and compliance monitoring.
• Collaborate with Finance and AP to resolve procurement issues and improve processes.
• Contribute to spend analysis, procurement reports, and SOPs; provide status updates.
• Work independently on assigned tasks with limited oversight; escalate approvals as needed.

Legend Biotech is seeking a Sr. Sourcing & Procurement Specialist as part of the Manufacturing & Supply team based in Raritan, NJ.

Role Overview

The Senior Sourcing & Procurement Specialist supports procurement activities across Legend Biotech's U.S. business units, with primary support for the Raritan, NJ site. This role supports timely and compliant purchasing execution, supplier onboarding, commercial review, contract workflow support, and resolution of purchasing-related issues in alignment with company policies and procedures.

The position contributes to operational efficiency, cost management, audit readiness, supplier performance, and assurance of supply through PR/PO support, supplier record maintenance, market analysis, and contract compliance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with sourcing, vendor selection, supplier market analysis, benchmarking, and commercial evaluation to optimize purchase price while balancing quality, service, and assurance of supply.
• Support business unit representatives in developing requirements and scopes of work for sourcing initiatives and monitor supplier execution against scopes of work and purchase orders.
• Support purchasing operations, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, open order listings, uninvoiced receipt amounts, vendor documentation, statements, and purchasing records.
• Support supplier record maintenance, including coordination of W-9, ACH, qualification assessments, onboarding and due diligence documentation, and supplier master data updates in S/4 HANA (SAP).
• Support commercial terms review, contract negotiation activities, contract workflow, and contract compliance monitoring in alignment with procurement and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounts Payable, suppliers, and business stakeholders to resolve purchasing-related issues and improve procurement process efficiency.
• Contribute to spend analysis, procurement reports, performance metrics, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and leadership status updates.
• This role works independently on assigned procurement activities, prioritizes daily workload, follows established procurement policies and procedures, and resolves routine purchasing and supplier-related issues with limited oversight. The role may make recommendations related to sourcing support, supplier documentation, purchasing records, order follow-up, and issue resolution. Supplier awards, contract execution, commercial commitments, budget impacts, exceptions to policy, and material changes to scope, price, or terms require appropriate management, business owner, Legal, Finance, or compliance approval as applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline required.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant sourcing or procurement experience required. Experience supporting procurement operations in a regulated, GMP, pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing environment preferred. Prior exposure to procurement operations, finance, accounting principles, supplier onboarding, due diligence, contract workflow support, and stakeholder management is highly desirable.
• Procurement systems and reporting tools, including SAP/S/4 HANA transactions and PR/PO lifecycle support.
• Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio; Power BI experience is a plus.
• Ability to quickly learn and adopt new systems, workflows, and technology-enabled procurement processes.
• Possesses a working knowledge of AI technologies and approved AI tools, applies them responsibly to enhance productivity and decision-making, exercises appropriate human oversight of AI-generated outputs, and complies with organizational policies governing AI use.

The base pay range below is what Legend Biotech USA Inc. reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify this range as needed and in accordance with applicable laws.

Other Types of Pay: Performance-based bonus and/or equity is available to employees in eligible roles.

Pay Range (Base Pay):

$96,267-$126,351 USD
