Job summary

Baker Hughes in the United States is seeking a Site Sr Procurement Team Leader to lead Buyers and Fulfilment Leaders, develop sourcing strategies, and optimize procurement for the IET Valves Business.

You will partner with Strategic Sourcing, drive supplier performance, manage procurement of direct and indirect spend, and align with Plant, Materials Planning, Engineering, and Finance to meet operational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Proven track record in developing suppliers and improving supplier performance.
• Strong sourcing and procurement experience in aftermarket business environment.
• Product knowledge of Control Valves, Safety Valves, and Controllers & Actuators.
• In-depth knowledge of casting, machining, welding, fabrication, buyouts and special processes.
• Expertise in MS 365, SAP, Ariba, ThoughtSpot, Power BI, and AI.
• Strong data analytics, report creation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, development, and coaching to a team of Buyers and Fulfilment Leaders.
• Drive a positive organizational culture with frontline leadership empowerment.
• Partner with Strategic Sourcing for implementing sourcing strategies and supplier development.
• Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and ensure best-in-class performance.
• Communicate and monitor supplier performance, and implement improvement plans.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Own Fulfillment KPIs for all suppliers (OTD, cost, quality, NPCs).
• Reduce supply chain risks by avoiding single/sole sources.
• Collaborate with Global & Plant level Materials Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance to align procurement with business needs.
• Lead material synchronization for purchased parts to support revenue, margin, and overdue reduction.
• Partner with AP, Receiving, and Warehousing to drive Procure-to-Pay processes.

The Site Sr. Procurement Team Leader is responsible for leading the team of Site Buyers, Global Buyers, Site Commodity Leaders and developing strategy & processes around procurement and fulfilment for the IET Valves Business. The scope involves managing procurement of direct & indirect spending, regional and global suppliers, identifies opportunities, and develop suppliers to meet performance expectations as well as sourcing strategies. This role works closely with key business stakeholders including materials & planning, project management & the Plant Manager to support day to day Fulfillment and meet all operational goals.

As a Site Sr Procurement Team Leader, you will be responsible for

• Providing leadership, development, and coaching to a team of Buyers and Fulfilment Leaders.
• Driving a positive organizational culture with strong front-line leadership empowerment and connectivity.
• Partnering with Strategic Sourcing for implementing sourcing strategies, new supplier development that are on growth strategy, and volume allocation & optimization.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with strategic suppliers and establishing effective programs to ensure “best in class” supplier performance.
• Communicating & monitoring performance expectations to the suppliers. Developing & implementing supplier performance improvement plans.
• Conducting supplier performance reviews with top management and cross-functional team leaders.
• Owning Fulfillment KPIs for all suppliers, ex: on-time delivery, cost, quality, and new parts creation (NPCs).
• Reducing risks in the supply chain by minimizing single/sole source situations.
• Collaborating with the Global & Plant level Materials Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance to ensure all procurement decisions and actions are aligned with business needs.
• Leading & driving material synchronization for purchased parts which is aligned to the business revenue, margin, and overdue reduction targets.
• Partnering with the Accounts Payable, Receiving, and Warehousing for prioritizing resolution of invoices and supplier payment processing. Own& drive the entire Procure-to-Pay (P-2-P) process.
